In Part One, Edith Miller (Claudette Colbert) tells psychiatrist Jonathan Michael (Kent Smith) of terrifying events connected with the car, of delusions about people of another era who appear mysteriously, and of a driver (Harry Tyler) who bears her frightening contempt each time she rides in the car.
